What is Lymphatic Drainage?

The lymphatic system plays a crucial role in maintaining fluid balance, supporting the immune system and transporting cellular waste.  Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. By stimulating the Lymphatic system, it encourages the removal of waste and toxins from the body.   

Who can not have Lymphatic Drainage

You can not have Lymphatics Drainage Massage if you have any of the following:

1. Heart Disease

2. Kidney Disease

3. History of blood clots

4. Are Pregnant

5. If you are currently having Cancer treatment, please consult you Oncologist

What happens during treatment

A consultation is taken to inquire about existing medical conditions and the specific reason for seeking Lymphatic drainage treatment. 

The client will be asked to undress down to their underwear, lie on the massage couch and cover over with  blanket. 

The treatment will be specific to each clients needs.

The therapist uses very light pressure (either circular movements are very light rhythmic strokes), paying specific attention to the lymph nodes. The treatment will be approximately 60 minutes.  How many treatments a client needs will vary from one to three or more.
